Business Climate

The www.OhioITA.org website provides general information to you about the business climate in the state of Ohio with regards to information technology and ancillary service sectors. For complete access to the most comprehensive information around the state, then please visit http://business.ohio.gov or http://www.sos.state.oh.us/Index.aspx.

The OhioITA organization is a statewide network with strong partnerships in all the regions of Ohio. Each region faces unique business challenges, and to determine your company’s best business options in the state, it should have a thorough understanding of the business climate in each region of the state. For example, Northwest Ohio is heavily dependent on manufacturing (Jeep and Dana), while Columbus is more diversified and relies on strengths in a cross section of industries from banking (Bank One) to insurance (Nationwide). Dayton, on the other hand, has large IT players with Reynolds & Reynolds, Lexis Nexis and NCR in its backyard. The easiest way to find out about each region and its business strengths is to tap into local chamber of commerce sites and partner sites. Each site will give the reader a more thorough understanding of that specific region and the role that IT plays therein.
